Committees of IIM Rohtak
Committees are mutually exclusive, non-elected entities formed by the GSB to carry out specific processes necessary for the structured functioning of the GSB and the Institute.
Academic Committee
The Academic Committee serves as a vital link between the administration and students, addressing all academic-related matters and concerns. This committee plays a crucial role in coordinating and conducting significant events, including guest lectures, convocations, inductions, and the Foundation Day, as well as events of national and institutional importance. It is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of academic activities and the timely dissemination of relevant academic information. Moreover, the Academic Committee provides students with a constructive platform to voice their concerns and offer valuable feedback on academic issues.
Student Alumni Committee
The Student Alumni Committee at IIM Rohtak is a dedicated body focused on strengthening and nurturing ties between the institute and its alumni. It leads several initiatives, including the flagship Annual Alumni Meet, “Aluminati” Chapter Meets, a podcast series called “Kathor Vani” and a mentorship program that ensures continuous alumni engagement. The committee also assists current students in their career development through mock interviews, group discussions, and a structured mentorship framework. Additionally, it serves as a facilitator for career opportunities for alumni, acting as a single point of contact to resolve their concerns.
Cultural Committee
The committee plays a pivotal role in uniting the student community by organising a wide range of events and activities that offer students a platform to showcase their talents. One of its standout initiatives was Committee Hosted a Gokul Event for the PGP15 batch in 2024 and the lively Matki-Phod celebration during Janmashtami, both of which were met with overwhelming enthusiasm from the student body.
Entrepreneurship & Innovation Council
The Entrepreneurship Cell at IIM Rohtak fosters a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem by promoting awareness and cultivating a culture of innovation. Through guest lectures, workshops, business plan competitions, and its flagship event, Udaan, the cell connects students with entrepreneurs, mentors, and investors. Its business incubator, Bizdome, supports budding entrepreneurs by offering marketing assistance, mentorship, consultancy, and networking with venture capitalists. The cell’s vision is to inspire passionate entrepreneurs with strong professional ethics and a commitment to social impact.
Election & Auditing Committee
ENAC oversees the general body elections at IIM Rohtak and audits committees utilising student-associated funds. Leading by example with integrity and strong work ethics, ENAC ensures that all clubs, committees, and events maintain high standards. Its key responsibilities include promoting ethical conduct, managing conflicts, and monitoring the activities of various clubs and committees to ensure smooth operations across the institute.
Hospitality Committee
The Hospitality Committee is responsible for managing the mess and hostel facilities at the college, ensuring smooth operations for over 700 students. Acting as a liaison between the student body and the administration, the committee plays a key role in resolving issues related to accommodation and food services. It ensures that student concerns are communicated effectively and addressed promptly.
Industry Relations and Interaction Cell
The Industry Relations & Interaction Cell (IRIC) of IIM Rohtak is dedicated to enhancing the institute’s engagement with the corporate world. The cell plays a pivotal role in simplifying the placement process by crafting a polished and capable image of the batch and bringing top professionals to the campus. IRIC also fosters knowledge sharing to help students develop industry-relevant skills that make their resumes stand out. The cell is responsible for identifying industry-leading organisations and nurturing legacy relationships between academia and industry.
IT Committee
The IT Committee at IIM Rohtak strives to empower students with knowledge and skills essential for excelling in the IT Management Domain. Fostering strong industry connections, the Committee provides live internship projects and hosts insightful lectures from tech experts. It also acts as the liaison between students and the IT Department, actively engaging in executing various IT projects within the institute. The Committee collaborates with esteemed companies like KPMG and organises workshops facilitating hands-on experience in IT and Product Management domains. It hosts diverse events, including IT and Analytics Knowledge-Sharing Sessions, National Case Study Competitions, Quizzing Events, and e-sports Tournaments. The Committee’s monthly newsletter and digital presence keep students updated on tech industry developments and offer insightful articles relevant to the business landscape.
Placement Committee
The Placement Committee at IIM Rohtak plays a pivotal role in connecting top-tier organizations with our exceptional talent, working in close coordination with the institute’s Placement Office to ensure a smooth and effective recruitment process. Founded in 2009, IIM Rohtak has rapidly gained prominence as the first IIM in North India and the sole IIM in the Delhi-NCR region. Recognized for its academic excellence, IIM Rohtak has achieved a 12th place ranking in the NIRF Management Category and is proud to be accredited by AMBA, positioning it among the top 2% of business schools worldwide. Placement Preparation Committee
The goal of each Student at IIM Rohtak campus is to land a job in his/her dream company. The Placement Preparation Committee (PPC) enables each student to achieve this goal. An iridescent guiding light to each student of IIM Rohtak, the PPC anchors and streamlines the Internship and placement process enabling him/her to sculpt his/her dream career. The PPC is the student body that solely focuses on the training and development of each student that sets foot on the campus by aligning him/her with the Industry needs and striving to build confidence through knowledge-sharing, skill-building, and personality sculpting.
Public Relations Cell
The Public Relations (PR) Cell at IIM Rohtak is a dynamic and proactive committee dedicated to promoting the institute’s values, achievements, and brand identity. Serving as the face of IIM Rohtak, the PR Cell works diligently to enhance the institute’s visibility through various media platforms, ensuring that the institute’s academic excellence, student activities, and key events reach a wide audience. It plays a crucial role in managing the institute’s image and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, representing the voice and spirit of the students and faculty alike.
Sports Committee
The Sports Committee of IIM Rohtak fosters a vibrant sports culture that promotes physical well-being and teamwork among students. By organizing various sports events and activities, the committee provides a refreshing break from the rigorous academic schedule, helping students de-stress while encouraging a healthy, competitive spirit and camaraderie within IIM Rohtak.
